| Computer Resources
The Computing Resources Group designs and implements information technology to make our faculty and staff as effective as
possible in helping our clients maintain the health of their animals. In addition, our solutions make possible the rapid sharing
of animal health data state- and nation-wide. The group is overseen by Jay Kammerzell and supported by Helen Koh and Carrie Schmer.
The CSU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory system is in the early stages of replacing our existing laboratory information system with a more
comprehensive, configurable web based commercial system called STARLIMS. The computer staff have already begun initial training. The
application is extensive, and the implementation will be completed gradually and in stages.
"STARLIMS consolidates disparate business processes into a single, compliant platform with comprehensive reporting, surveillance and
networking capabilities. The result is vastly enhanced data management and sharing-within the laboratory and across the enterprise".
Watch for updates as we progress into this exciting new phase of technology expansion that will benefit not only our laboratories, but especially you, our clients!
